The Dodgers currently sit atop the National League West at 33-22 — the second-best record in the entire National League. However, they have achieved this record with little, to no, help offensively from their outfield.
As the deadline approaches, it seems likely that the Dodgers will address this group by adding a bat. DodgersNation’s own Doug McKain broke down his top five outfielders that Los Angeles should acquire — headlined by Tyler O’Neil of the Boston Red Sox.

Now, the Red Sox might not trade away pieces at the deadline. They have a 27-26 record and are 9.5 games back in the American League East. They are 1.5 games back of the final wild-card spot. If they hover around that last wild card spot come July, they could add to try and make a playoff push.
However, if they do deal at the deadline, O’Neil will certainly draw some interest around the league. On the year, the 30-year-old has a .843 OPS with 11 home runs.
The Dodgers could desperately use this bat in the outfield and toward the bottom of their lineup. Also, he may not be too expensive. He would be a true rental and the Dodgers would only need to pay the remainder of his $5.85 million contract.
