Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin continues to be engaged in trade discussions involving right wing Brock Boeser as the trade deadline quickly approaches.
With 12 days until the deadline arrives on March 3 at 3pm ET, the Canucks remain active in trade talks with several teams about a number of their players, including Boeser.
As TFP’s David Pagnotta reported during the week, the Canucks and Calgary Flames re-engaged in trade talks involving Boeser and Canucks defenceman Luke Schenn, but multiple teams have expressed interest in Boeser.
The Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils and Washington Capitals are among some of the other teams that have spoken with the Canucks about Boeser’s availability.
Boeser, who sits in the top-10 of the TFP Trade Watch List, has scored 10 goals and added 26 assists for 36 points in 48 games with the Canucks so far this season, putting him at a full season pace of 62 points, which would be a career-high. He has, however, missed eight games on the season, which puts him on pace for 56 points over 74 games, and that would tie his career-high in points.
He is in the first year of a three-year, $19.95 million contract, and some teams have expressed concerned over his $6.65 million salary cap hit based on his goal-production.
Allvin will continue to hold trade negotiations with teams about Boeser and the hope is a move will be figured out by the deadline.
