Why Warriors have best potential trade package for Giannis - NBCSports.com

Steph Curry still has plenty of great years left in his NBA career, and he already has been dubbed as the greatest shooter of all time by many. Not by everyone, though.

Metta World Peace, the artist formerly known as Ron Artest, doesn't want the world to forget about Reggie Miller.

"If you couldn't touch Reggie Miller, yo, I'm not gonna lie, it would have been crazy," World Peace said recently on Instagram Live. "How are you gonna guard him? You literally can't leave him open.

"Reggie Miller shoots just as good as Steph Curry. Ain't no question about it."

Before Warriors Twitter loses its mind, don't take this as too much of slight against the two-time NBA MVP. World Peace gave plenty of praise to Curry, too.

"You can't leave neither one of them open. Stephen's amazing, good lord," he said.

Miller was teammates with World Peace over the last four seasons of the Hall of Fame sharpshooter's career. Over that time, Miller averaged 13.4 points per game and shot 37.5 percent from the 3-point line. But this was far from his prime.

The five-time All-Star was the all-time leader in 3-pointers with 2,560 when he retired after the 2004-05 season. He averaged 1.8 makes from beyond the arc over his 18-year career while nailing 39.5 percent of his 3s.

Curry, only 32 years old, is primed to pass Miller for No. 2 on the all-time 3-point list. The Warriors superstar played in just five games this season due to injury, but he only is 66 3-pointers away from jumping over Reggie, and needs 479 to pass Ray Allen as the all-time leader.

Through 11 seasons, including an injury-riddled one this season, Curry has averaged 3.6 3-pointers per game while shooting an absurd 43.5 percent from deep. Steph also is the all-time leader in free-throw percentage at 90.56 percent while Miller is 12th at 88.77 percent.

World Peace has plenty of points, though. The game has evolved, as have the rules -- no matter how much it feels Curry doesn't get the same amount of calls as other stars.

It's hard to call Reggie Miller as good of a shooter as Steph Curry, but his legend only would have grown if he played in today's game.
