BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” comeback press conference, which had been scheduled for 11 a.m. on April 5, has been canceled.
In a statement Friday morning, YG Entertainment said, “We made this decision out of solidarity for the residents of Gangwon Province after the Goseong-Sokcho forest fire,” and asked for the understanding of the fans and journalists who had been waiting for the event. YG concluded, “Our sincerest condolences go out to the victims of the fire and the first responders.”
BLACKPINK dropped their music video for “Kill This Love” at midnight on April 5, after which the MV rocketed to 10 million and then 20 million views in record time for K-pop groups overall.
