A strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake has hit off the coast of Indonesia.
The Indonesian island of Mentawai was struck at about 8:30pm on Saturday February 2nd.
No tsunami warning has been issued.

Officials appear to still be assessing the damage but there have not been any reports of casualties.
One resident of Padang, approximately 200km south of where the earthquake hit, claims the tremors shook her entire house.
'It was very scary. This is the second quake we felt today. Our house was shaking, so we ran outside,' Ms Ira said.
The head of Mentawai search and rescue agency said 'the quake was felt very strongly in Tuapejat.'
'Our officers are still assessing the impact but so far everything is safe.'
