
Police have taken a man into custody after Brisbane International Airport's evacuation.
The airport was evacuated and trains to the terminal suspended after police declared an emergency situation over what witnesses have described as a man claiming to be carrying a bomb.
The Australian Federal Police and Queensland Police are at the scene.

A witness said they saw a man carrying a box.

"I was just siting at the International Airport outside Red Rooster when all of a sudden a women started running and screaming and in a flash everyone around us started to run towards the exit," the witness, who didn't want to be identified, said.
"As I got up I saw a fairly large man in a white shirt chasing the women.
"He had a large object approximately 10 inches. This happened approximate 5-10 metres away.
"I quickly ran out of the man's path and sprinted towards the exit and down the ramp. I have now been here for a few hours and 30 plus police cars, fire trucks and ambulances with sirens went past."
Police have made a declaration under the Public Safety and Preservation Act tonight at Brisbane Airport due an emergency situation.
The International Airport has been evacuated and trains have currently been stopped.

News Corp reported the man was accused of walking into the airport holding a metal box with exposed wiring.
"All a bit dramatic at Brisbane airport earlier," witness Nick Sherrard said on social media.
"Man took out a knife in departures just as we checked in."
Brisbane Airport posted on social media that "the Australian Federal Police is managing the security matter and we hope to get back to normal operations as soon as possible".
